DCUK6 Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 (edited) Just spotted the HP x451 at misco for £127.95 ex VAT HP Officejet Pro X451dw Colour Inkjet Printer (CN463A#A81) - www.misco.co.uk Cant see any reason why its at this price, no cashback or anything. We are just looking at 25 of these but don't have the funds yet but may be able to lease at this price. Wonder how the print heads compare to the old inkjets where they would dry up in the summer. synaesthesia Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 They are absolutely awesome machines and that's a fantastic price... @tekins
Arthur Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 (edited) that's a fantastic price eBuyer had a BOGOF + £100 cashback offer on the X451dw last month. The printers would have cost £49.99 each (and that includes VAT)! www.hotukdeals.com/deals/hp-officejet-pro-x451dw-wireless-inkjet-printer-bogof-100-trade-free-paper-199-98-2168087 Frillo are also doing the same BOGOF offer. Details below. Each printer would effectively cost £83.33 + VAT. www.hotukdeals.com/deals/two-hp-officejet-pro-x451dw-printers-for-189-98-delivered-possible-trade-frillo-2163268 Edited May 6, 2015 by Arthur 1
LeMarchand Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I got one of these for home: Dell C1765nfw Colour Multifunction Laser Printer with Fax - Ebuyer Got sick of inkjets drying out. Seems a good buy so far, but not had to replace any toner yet! (Compatibles are quite reasonable, though whether they work is another question)
sonofsanta Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 They're great machines. I wrote a ton of guff about them: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/hardware/152938-hp-officejet-pro-wide-array-ink-printers-super-boring-review-me.html And that is a great price. Can't speak as to whether they dry up or not, not had one in long enough, but they perform no end of automated maintenance, can detect when a nozzle is blocked and compensate for it with nearby nozzles, and use a different ink formulation anyway to allow them to print as fast as they do, so ink clogging may be irrelevant altogether.

They are unavailable
AndiMarv Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I've got a ton of these and a few of the the slightly larger X551 printers - these things are awesome! I buy from Misco all the time, I feel very well looked after by the account managers even though there have been a few movements in that area lately.
Arthur Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Frillo don't do the buy one get one free.... They are unavailable They did when I posted the link. It looks like they are all gone now.
Chimaera Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Recently bought 2 and got 4 with BOGOF at eBuyer. Impressed so far - and even the starter cartridges have given over 2500 colour pages. I think Misco have somehow found a way to pass the HP BOGOF offer on to us on individual sales, so I wouldn't expect that price to last long.
Gaz Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 Excellent printers! HP Officejet Pro X551DW CV037A wireless inkjet printer by Viking Very good price for the x551 We've got both an x551 and an x576 VERY quick on general office and very cheap to run compared to laser.

Read that sonofsanta thanks. One of the things that started me looking at them. If we can lease them when they are that price then I can get the whole lot replaced and it should cost much more then when they arnt on offer. Have so many printers on the way out.

I know you can lease, but it does end up costing slightly more overall than outright capital purchase. But beggars can't always be choosers. I can PM you details of the company we've been talking to (and who will be our managed print provider from October) if it's something you want to discuss. Ignore that, I already told you a couple of weeks ago didn't I?
newpersn Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Ebuyer now do buy one get one free: HP Officejet Pro X451dw Wireless Inkjet Printer - Ebuyer
DCUK6 Posted June 5, 2015 Author Posted June 5, 2015 Be careful on ebuyer though, We tried to return a hard drive to them and after a couple of months and they wanted nothing to do with it. For business customers i think they said you get three months. They got really funny with my manager and quite rude,
