RogerCorrigan Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 (edited) When Setting up a new SIMS DMS from scratch for an existing SIMS Database, How Do I Populate The DocStorage folder with all of the required base templates etc? Edited May 1, 2015 by RogerCorrigan
Cache Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 (edited) I think, but not certain, all you would need to do would be to import the report definitions for the version your using from C:\Program files\SIMS\SIMS .net using Reports -> Import (or similar path, can't remember off the top of my head) and load Assessment manager to import the aspects and templates for that side of things as you would do when you do a SIMS upgrade. Not certain though. Won't you have loads of missing existing linked documents against pupil records? Edited May 2, 2015 by Cache
Mark_Atkins1 Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Once you have your new DMS, log into SIMS and import the pre-defined reports to give you your basic structure in your new DocStorage folder. Once this is done if you had a DocStorage folder setup elsewhere, copy all of the folders and paste to your new location to ensure that all your previous custom reports and documents are moved to the new location. Hope this helps, Mark
