Hi Guys,

I'm having trouble with a Kyocera 1350DN in that it keeps jamming. When opened up I find that the paper has either not picked up or is just slightly in to the feed path, not having reached the registration sensor. I can't see any obvious scraps of paper lodged over any sensors. Printing from the MP tray works fine with no jams at all. As far as I can see, it all looks good so I'm getting a bit frustrated now. Any advice or tips you guys could provide would be a great help & may save my sanity for another day!

Thanks in advance,

AJ

Do you have another 1350 handy? Can you try switching the pickup roller between printers.

We found with our older FS-1020 and FS-1030 printers that pickup roller would get too smooth due to the paper we were using so it would continually jam before actually reaching the same point as the MP feeds into.

Thanks for the response @Boredguy. I'll give this a go. I don't suppose you've had any experience with cleaning the rollers as an alternative to straight up replacing them have you? If so, what did you use?

Cheers,

AJ

There is a spray we used to use some time ago, it would clean the rollers and extend the life of them for a while will need to dig aound to find the name of the product, will be back

Always worth trying some other paper. We had some utter cheap crap a while ago that wouldn't pick up in any Kyocera, as it was akin to wiping your backside with the tracing paper they used to use.

We did try cleaning the rollers, but it never seemed to make much difference.

For a while we were buying the AVRoll*44 in batches as our paper supply was just killing them.

If switching the roller works, you should still be able to pick up a replacement from using this search term "MicroSpareparts MSP0712"

Found it AF Platenclene - Rubber roller cleaner/restorer

We have a number of 1010 and 1350's that no longer pick up paper. I have just ordered some of this stuff which will hopefully sort them :)
