madurham Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I’m receiving an error while installing the POP Test Player on a couple of PCs. We are updating to the latest version and most PCs are completing successfully. The few with the error previously had Test Player installed fine and were used for exams but they don’t seem to have it installed at all now and I receive the above error when I run the MSI from the server to reinstall/update it. I’ve had no errors with the administrator or invigilator dashboards. Any thoughts?

Sylv3r Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I've not seen the error before but have you got the latest runtime library installed - I think it generally used to ask at the end of the installation, but it may have changed as part of the upgrade.
6Foot2 Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Keep an eye on this thread also: Link: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/educational-software/124240-pearson-onscreen-platform-installation-woes.html If anyone reports the same problem in this thread you might not spot it if you are not watching it. HTH.
madurham Posted April 29, 2015 Author Posted April 29, 2015 With one try uninstalling the old copy and then install the new .msi Problem is it I can't find it under Add/Remove programs. I've not seen the error before but have you got the latest runtime library installed - I think it generally used to ask at the end of the installation, but it may have changed as part of the upgrade. It's still doing that crap after the installation on the others. I'll make sure it's up to date and try again. Cheers, DaveP. I'll have a read through.
