Mac Restore Problem

Hello, I have just taken over from a not so good tech support company (I am trying to be professional) who havent left me with much. The macs in the suite dual boot with bootcamp with win 7 and mac. The problem I have is they dont seem to let me login as a local admin so thought I would reset using the cmd + r method to reset password. However they have deleted the restore partition so it wont let me in that way.

 

I dont have alot of experience with macs so would be grateful for any help or advice people can give me

If all else fails, you have this:

It will make a installer for Mac OS X on a USB stick from any OS X installer that you can download from the App Store (Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, Yosemite).

Is it just on one of them or is it all of them, and is it the OSx or windows partition you are trying to log into?

yeah just one machine out of 30, strange though as the windows side wont let me login as the same user i have used on 50 machines

For the mac you can try recovery mode (assuming it has a recovery partition hopefully):

• Boot into the Mac OS X boot loader menu by holding down the OPTION key at system start
  
• Choose the Recovery drive to boot into recovery mode and wait until the “Utilities” screen appears
  
• Pull down the “Utilities” menu and choose “Terminal”
  
• At the command line, type “resetpassword” without the quotes
  
• Confirm the new account password, then reboot the Mac as usual

doesnt let me as the restore partition was deleted

You can download and copy the Yosemite installer onto a USB drive and restart your Mac holding the option key. After a few clicks it should start installing the new OS on a perfectly clean hard drive
