Monitor for Data Manager

Hi

 

My data manager who deals with all aspects of data/sims/timetables etc needs a new double monitor setup

 

Can anyone recommend any decent monitors?

 

What setup do other schools have??

I've got:

 

- 1 Acer V273HL

- 2 LG E1910 [one portrait, one landscape]

- 1 Yuraku YM19LPA [This was actually given to me by another member of staff, so technically it's mine.]

 

All running off of an ATI FirePro 2450.

 

Any monitor should be fine, tbh.

 

What sort of size and price are you looking at?

How about a couple of mint condition Refurb HP L2311C screens? 23", 1920 x 1080, VGA, 2 years RTB. £75 each?

I've got an AOC 28" (was on special offer on eBuyer at the time). I'm pretty sure this is it - AOC M2870VQ 28" LED Full HD HDMI DVI Monitor - Ebuyer

 

I've also got a GDM 19" thing from around 9 years ago.

 

Eventually, I'll be swapping it for another AOC.

 

A big monitor helps when dealing with loads of numbers in a spreadsheet. I find it easier to track down columns and lines.

I have a couple of Iiyama 23" 1920x1200 ones, quite nice. I do like monitors where you can rotate the monitor between portrait and landscape.

Just make sure you use a dual head card which allows for 2 digital connections of whatever description. Don't go with one monitor on digital and one on VGA as you do notice a difference in image sharpness and colour.
