Novalee Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 What does everyone else do? We don't have a debit / credit card so all I can think is to use vouchers, but not sure how / where to get them? One department wants to purchase apps... it's just the staff iPads so not concerned about app management or anything at this point. Just the simple purchasing.
Bankesy Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 This has come up in our school too recently. The best suggestion I could think of was that the staff who wish to purchase apps make their case to the finance department for being reimbursed if they pay for it themselves.
Pyroman Posted April 24, 2015 Posted April 24, 2015 (edited) When we did it using itunes we used to petty cash £50 and go to the corner shop and buy itunes cards. What you should be doing is using the VPP. If you have a search on here i've posted many a rant about the VPP but when it's up and running it is very good. You can now also buy credit with a purchase order from KRCS(probably others too but that's who we use) that you can use on the VPP. You don't have to faff about with debit/credit cards then Edited April 24, 2015 by Pyroman
churchy112 Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Schools need to use Volume Purchasing Programme with their iPads and ideally have all iPads supervised. I believe you need to have some form of charge card in order to add billing info to the VPP. You also need to purchase licenses of APPs for each iPad you have so 5 iPads = 5 licenses. You can 'enroll' for the VPP via deploy.apple.com
