Why on earth is this useful? Passwords are supposed to be unique per user!

I can see how this would be useful in certain circumstances. For example we have to distribute endless credentials for various online services we subscribe to (a lot being a generic login for all staff).

I definitely agree with @sparkeh some sort of single sign on/password store would be beneficial in your situation.

Here at my academy we have an online portal that logs the user in via their AD credentials, then the tiles are populated with websites they would normally visit and this portal then stores the password the first time and doesn't need it again until they modify it

thanks for the replies, all users have the same login as it is the school login for a particular website so I might go with Michael and use the Mandatory profile that copies it self every time the user logs in thank you
