  1. I had a lot of issues with the DLL's not registering properly fro the Flash thing on the Virtual machines for some reason and I wanted the feature of minimising open things to fit with the new e-safety policy Check it out see what you think requires no installation I just linked it from the network as it's small enough. https://www.mediafire.com/?add3831t8nb151k
  2. A few of you may be familiar with a Dolphin called Hector Protector. I was interested to see if anyone would be interested in a new version of it with the CEOP shield instead. Hector feels a bit long in the tooth now and has a million dependencies causing issues with various machines on our network. Would anyone else want an alternitive and is there any suggested features that Hector Protector didn't have e.g. instant minimizing when the cover screen is closed etc. As you know there has been a lot of changes to the laws in schools around e-safety.
  3. I have managed to fix this now if anyone was interested it was a problem with our users using the same windows login for 30 iMacs as everytime they logged in and out it was creating 30 login preference files then not being able to access them properly and using default reopen windows. I have found a way to delete the preference files and I am currently making a script that does kt automatically every half hour.
  4. Thanks for the reply. I log in force quit any open software and with the same user logged in all day idling by lunchtime about 5 pieces of software have been opened with no one touching it
  5. Sorry for not replying, it's been busy. Yeah there was an issue when they where first installed with frequency jamming where it would knock them of and would need to be re-inserted to be able to function but we switched to 2 different makes of mice which reduced this. I still haven't gotten to the bottom of the software randomly opening in the background though.
  6. Yes since they where installed 3 years ago seems to hve got worse though
  7. Yes every mac has a wireless mice and graphics tablets. Yes people are using them when it starts to crash notmally 5 to 6 machines at a time but if left to idle stuff still randomly opens
  8. Hi, we have a suite of 30 imacs late 2012 with 8GB of ram in each and software such as photoshop or keynote will just randomly start up for no reason. We also have a lot of issues with photoshop crashing or stuttering. They are all linked to AD server with a Mac Mini late 2011 4GB ram wunning Yosemite with latest version of OS X Server. Has anyone else noticed this issue before?
  9. Hi, since the latest upgrades all the computers with sims in won't open the reports in word straight away like normal it just opens a blank grey version of Microsoft Word 2010 I have found a small work around by going into recent files and it is there but why isn't it opening it straight away all machines with Sims on are affected? EDIT: for some reason they all defaulted to Office 2003 :/ had to change default program to 2010
  10. thanks for the replies, all users have the same login as it is the school login for a particular website so I might go with Michael and use the Mandatory profile that copies it self every time the user logs in thank you
  11. Hi I was wondering if there was a way to allow saved chrome passwords to be the same for all users under a certain group? e.g. user "user1" saves a password on EduGeek.net - The I.T. Professionals' life line then user "user2" would have the same password saved automatically when they go on EduGeek.net - The I.T. Professionals' life line has anyone tried this before?
