We have just migrated our staff shared area to Google Drive (approx 300GB of data) but now everytime anyone uses google drive on chrome is hogs the CPU and RAM until the machine becomes unusable. These are not low spec PCs (Core i5, 4GB RAM) This is happening off site as well as in the Academy so its not our filtering solution causing issues (just had a new one of those as well). Once you close Google Drive all returns to normal.

Has anyone come across this and found out why. I have tried it on IE and firefox and while they are not as bad it still uses alot of system resources.

This is happening on Windows 7 and 8 PCs and with both 32bit and 64bit installs of Chrome

We are on the 2nd day since the migration and i can see mutiny on the way soon
