Anyone else having issues with Impero?

Ive been told by support that there licensing and CRM platform has been migrated, meaning that over 5000 schools currently have no access to Impero, as far as I am aware its been this way for the past few days.

Just want to make sure I am not being fed false information, especially as I am paying a big old wedge of money for something that cant actually be used at all currently.

Thanks

Our impero since yesterday seems to think that it isn't registered.

Was given similar information from support about it when I emailed them yesterday.

Bit of an OOPS! moment on their part I think lol

Its making maintenance work in the holidays rather irritating! I have to actually walk to computers now! :D

Same problem here - on my PC I am getting "Your Impero Server needs registering or your trial period has expired" and on my Impero Server I am getting a popup in the system tray telling me that not enough licences are available. Trying to run the server application gives me a 'Thank you for installing Impero" startup wizard. I tried to re-register the server using the new portal but no luck. Emailed them twice yesterday but not had a responce - pretty poor, this is obviously something affecting a number of clients - potentially all - so a mass email wouldn't have gone amiss

OK cool, thanks for replies, just wanted to make sure.

Funny thing about it is that they sent me a renewal request email with some over inflated price on it, hm.

I hope this isn't the beginning of a downfall.

We've been using Impero since 2012 and have just renewed until March of next year, would be disappointed to find that had any relevance to the problem though.

Hmmm, I have only been with Impero for 2 years, so it doesnt look like there is any differences in terms of length of agreements etc.

Just a bit irritating really, especially as staff are back next week, if its not sorted by Monday I will be hunted down even more than I already will be.

Hello

I am about

First sorry for anyone caught up in CRM transfer as someone said our primary aim in last 24 hours was making sure that we resolve the issue ASAP and before Monday...

I apologise for the unexpected problem caused by the transfer of our licencing server into the Azure cloud network.

Here is all info on the versions and what need to do.

-4.2.00 and above we had no issues and things should be ok and working

-v4.1.XX - Customers just need to register their Impero Server again. No need to call us it should work. If got an issue still then please call us and our staff can reactivate.

-v3 and below is technically unsupported, but we are working on fixing the issue today for any v3 customers I will update once have more news.

We spent last three months testing the transfer with our data transfer partner and there were no issues. Sadly when they did the transfer for real some Impero servers have deregistered themselves. Yesterday our server ops team and data partner worked to solve issues.

Ironically this caused by us growing and having to move to a new CRM and server structure using Azure.

Once again I am sorry. If you got any problems then please get in touch with support or myself.

Just to reiterate what Russ said:

We've recently moved to a larger premises and due to the increase in customer base we decided to coincide the office move with a server migration to the cloud. Unfortunately, after all their testing and reassurance, they (the people we paid to mess this up) still managed to poo-poo a select number of SQL records.

- customers on v4.2 and above will not have seen any issue at all

- customers on v4.126 or below 'may' have seen their server de-register itself due to the data transfer into Azure network - we apologise for that but they should be able to simply register it again

- customers on v3.5 or below are not using a supported version but we're making some changes so they can at least re-register their server in case it affected them

If you were affected, we do apologise. Moral of the story, don't migrate to the cloud! =D

I am still having trouble re-registering my impero.

It says that my code has already been registered :(

Pm me your school and phone and will get someone to call..

Yeah glad it's back up and running...

Hadn't really noticed how much use we get out of it when we are doing maintenance in the holidays :D

Also update v3 customers if you reregister your server should kick back into life. But get in touch if still got any issues..

OK so I'm in. Looks as though the passwords are stored in plain text in the database though. Would this be true?

The credentials are stored inside our Microsoft Dynamic CRM, im not actually sure how Microsoft store the passwords or even where its stored. I believe the portal is based on Sharepoint, dont quote me though. What made you think its stored in plain text?
