Windows 2012 Server. WITH GP locking Internet Control Panel.

I use a System wide GP to force all PC's through a proxy and the GP Locks users (Inc Admin) out of Internet Control Panel!

 

We have one 2012 server in which needs a direct connection out; but because of the blanket policy GP locks me out..

 

With Windows 2008 I used a little prog called - Advanced Proxy Manager; To allow me to switch between..

 

But it wont work with 2012..

 

Any Reg hacks? Or other solutions?

Create a GPO just for that server or not sure if this will work set it in local group policy, cant remember which one overides which.

Domain policy overrides local. I'd create a GPO and target at just that server.

Thank you. I will give that a try. What gp element will be locking the Internet control panel?

 

As you say I can then recreate a new AU and reverse the gp..
