fairm010 Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Someone knew exactly where those iPads were stored...
matt40k Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 This is why you should be nosy and ask questions. They prob just turned up in a white van and started taking the wall out. Hardly anyone questions such things, its like if put on a hard helmet, a high vis jacket and starting taking the green cab apart, no-one will question you until disconnect their internet!! So long as you look the part and not some druggy or dress head to toe black clothing, you'll most likely get away with it. It was the same with a white coat in hospitals till a few years ago when they had a crack down on security, well I hope.
Popular Post X-13 Posted March 27, 2015 Popular Post Posted March 27, 2015 They went through a brick wall.... HOW!?!?! . 6
Bompalompalomp Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Well, that's certainly one-upped me! When I was at high school somebody literally cut out the window by the sealing and stuck a wooden plank through the window's bars to open the emergency exit to steal our laptops. Just wandered through the exit then and wheeled them out on a trolley while the door alarm was blaring.
StevieM Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Someone knew exactly where those iPads were stored... Absolutely! My first check would be to see which, if any, contractors have been to all, or at least several, of the schools involved.
hardtailstar Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Absolutely! My first check would be to see which, if any, contractors have been to all, or at least several, of the schools involved. and any staff leaving, There was a local case to me that on a teachers last day they stole 6 laptops, they were only caught by the gate CCTV and it was picked up a week later.

Garacesh Posted March 27, 2015 Posted March 27, 2015 Yep, gotta be an inside job. Could be kids with nefarious older contacts, could be disgruntled staff, could just be a contractor who's been in and wanted to make a quick wad. But someone definitely had prior knowledge there. Edit: Also, take no notice of my signature xP In the immortal words of Shaggy.. Zoinks! I' wasn' me.
Dos_Box Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 When I worked at The Lancashire Schools ICT Centre in Chorley we had an entire training suite carted away one evening. The theives backed a transit up ot the window (which they removed) and 3 mins later an entire suite of 25 all-in-ones had vanished. Seeing as the window on this room had a reflective film on so you couldn't see in it had to be an inside job, as I suspect many school breaks-ins are. Wasn't there a thread a few years back about how breaks-ins always seemed to increase after parent evenings?
