I have a CRM for keeping addresses and invoices all nice and tidy.

But what should I do about settings, passwords etc.

I know most of you are school based so this would be kept on site in the safe or easily memorised.

This comes from going to a client that had a problem with their wifi, but they hadn't kept a record of the username and password I gave them for the controller. So I had to spend time downloading a database viewer and doing a bit of scripting to get the username and password, nothing big but added 20 mins on to the job. Same for clients website admin I know I can either reset them or find them out some how but it would make life easier if they were readily available.

Would It be safe enough to keep these details in a cloud document or on a memory stick or would a notepad be better. ( memorysticks can be lost)

I'm mindful of needing to keep the info safe but have it handy for if I get phoned up while I'm out and about.
