MYK-IT Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 On more than one occasion, our Exams Officer has been experiencing problems when printing via SIMS Exam Organiser where despite selecting the required printer; the reports are sent to another printer (that their computer has access to). This is even when the preferred printer is selected as default within Windows, and even after specifically selecting the required printer within SIMS Exam Organiser before prompting to print. It had been suggested to us, that SIMS Exam Organiser is linked (in some way) to MS Word; and may be remembering/using the defaulted (or last used) printer that it (last) printed too; and to ensure that MS Word is closed when doing such reports; but it does seem rather random! The method of printer deployment is via GPP, as before, and they are networked printers. Anyone else experienced this problem too? Many Thanks,
Boredguy Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 We get a few random issues with Exams Organiser and printing and Capita just keep saying it's our setup. The latest one is that some reports will not print out on the default device (a Canon Copier) as Exams Org claims it's sending a non A4 paper size document, yet if we switch the default printer to a Kyocera FS-1350 then it prints happily as A4. One of these days they will move Exams into the main .Net program instead of it being a separate pain in the neck =/
