tomscaper Posted December 10, 2007 Posted December 10, 2007 We block internet access to and now we also can block every website and open up the ones we want, there are a few kids who have this and probably will for most time here. Those kids i blocked came and complained that they couldnt do there coursework, and the head of there year has asked for them to be unblocked. Surely it is a punishment to have them blocked and for a teacher to demand them allowed on underminds our authority. how are the kids gonna learn responsibility if they know no matter wht they do they can get out of it.
richard.thomas Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Wouldn't it be amazing if there was a piece of software out there that tracked students usage (ie logging there username, time and place) and having the ability to attach notes to each username. For example "watched this pupil search for proxy avoidance sites", etc. Anyway... that post is going way off topic... The laptop trolleys we have are in science. They look after them and I think they realise it's their responsbility to look after them. They have numbered them all them selves (using a completely different numbering system that already existed for them) and have a book which each teacher is meant to sign at the end of every lesson... Not sure if they still do that though.
