gmonks Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Hi all, Like most schools we have proxy settings here that apply at logon. However, the proxy settings seem to be removing themselves every few hours and as you can imagine its causing a problem. They're not deleting themselves its just the box to use proxy settings in LAN Settings unticks....anybody got any ideas? Would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
gmonks Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 What browser are you using? IE and Chrome Probably competing gpos/ scripts. Shall take another look...open to more suggestions.
Killer_Bot Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Sounds like it may be competing GPOs. Have you had a look in the event logs to see if it happens around the same time GP refreshes? I think default is 90 minutes or so. If not you could set up a monitor on the setting itself to alert you as soon as it changes and try to see what else happens at that time. Do let us know if you track the problem down though

gmonks Posted February 26, 2015 Author Posted February 26, 2015 Hi guys, Thanks for your help. Turns out that for some reason the GPO the proxy settings suddenly weren't defined...upon me re-entering them the problem so far (touch wood) appears to be okay again.
