stoo Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Hey all, Do any of you use any "tactical" software in your P.E. departments for visualizing plays and strategies? Our P.E. department are looking for something they can run on their interactive whiteboard to do "Sky Sports kind of stuff". They also have an iPad they want to use for the same purpose. Obviously, you can kind of do this stuff with SMART/Promethean just by importing pictures and moving them around, drawing arrows etc. but I think they're looking for a more sports-focused and comprehensive solution. I think they want to be able to draw lines and markings on a top-down view of a pitch for individual plays and positions, and also annotate video and photos of actual matches. Essentially, they want it to do everything! It would be ideal if it could run on both Windows (for the whiteboard) and iPads (for use on the pitch) and if it supported multiple sports. Rugby and Hockey are the two big sports in our school. Any P.E. departments out there using something like this? A recommendation from a school using something like this would be appreciated! Cheers!
fairm010 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I cant say for software but on our 15 PE iPads we use: Sportplan Netball Coach HD Plus Football Coach HD Plus High Jump Instructor Coaches Eye: Instant Replay Video Analysis I've seen them in action, all looks very good.
itgeek1989 Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 We use DartFish. It's for windows and iPads. Not to sure if it will do all the things you want to do but the PE department use it a lot here.
Oaktech Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 Tactics Manager Soccer Coaching Software - Create your own Practcies, Tactics and Sessions a word of advice, these people have never heard of networking, or uac, or standard accounts. It does not work with network users, it does not work with locked down systems, every user has to be a local admin and they are pretty rude about it. However, the staff love it.
