Dos_Box Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I've just got this weeks offers in and it's Star Wars time! The only problem I have is that I always found the non flight sim side of Star Wars games to be 'not for me'. Are any of these any good? I really wish someone would remake X Wing vs Tie Fighter and X Wing Alliance (my favorite Star Wars games). https://www.humblebundle.com/
X-13 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Are any of these any good? I have Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sieve Edition on 360. Two words: Ewok Torture. I like it [the game not the torture] it's got a moderate amount of lightsaber customisation. [Purple > everything]
GREED Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Rogue Squadron on N64 was really good actually... Also BOUNTY HUNTER (bobba fett ) was really enjoyable I've never found a truly outstanding and worthy flight sim star wars game... Would love to see Elite: Dangerous team take that on!
X-13 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Also BOUNTY HUNTER (bobba fett ) was really enjoyable I used to have that... but I traded it in to get MGS3:Snake Eater.
GREED Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Bobba Fett amazing character and vastly underused in the star wars universe. loved the game
sted Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I I really wish someone would remake X Wing vs Tie Fighter and X Wing Alliance (my favorite Star Wars games). not remakes but X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter and More Strike Back on GOG.com! - UPDATE | StarWars.com

The only problem I have is that I always found the non flight sim side of Star Wars games to be 'not for me'. Are any of these any good? I really wish someone would remake X Wing vs Tie Fighter and X Wing Alliance (my favorite Star Wars games). https://www.humblebundle.com/ For me, the Knights of the Old Republic games are the best Star Wars games ever made. Fantastic story and great RPG game in one package (plus LOTS of lightsaber customisation), Jedi knight 3 is a lot of fun, but is a bit dated now. The one i have spent the most time on however is Empire at War. It's my favourite RTS and made by most of the team that did C&C Generals (my Favourite C&C). The fleet action is stunning and great fun, and using jedi in the ground combat is also rather rewarding. It also has an excellent range of mods that allow you to add in units and planets from the whole expanded universe
featured_spectre Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Knights of the Old Republic games are fantastic. Bit dated, but with the right mods, it will look as good as new.
LeMarchand Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I was trying to avoid buying this bundle as it will just add to the "games I'll probably never get time to play" collection, but you guys are tempting me...
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 The £8.53 it just cost me to unlock all the games is worth it, even if i only play a few for nostalgia's sake
featured_spectre Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Dave...with the knights of the old republic game, pick up the sword mod. Changes light sabres into Katana blades!!!
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Dave...with the knights of the old republic game, pick up the sword mod. Changes light sabres into Katana blades!!! Aw I couldn't do that! Lightsabres are far better!
LeMarchand Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 The £8.53 it just cost me to unlock all the games is worth it, even if i only play a few for nostalgia's sake You're trying to lead me to the Dark Side!
X-13 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 You're trying to lead me to the Dark Side! You could always buy it for me. Fight the powah!
Garacesh Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Phone alerted me to this one this morning (I have the Humble Bundle app).. Definitely buying this tonight Jedi Academy was fantastic.. I did like the first Force Unleashed, haven't played the second yet. Dark Forces has dat nostalgia. Is Knights of the Old Republic the one where you're running around all 3rd-person-MMO-like, and then when you encounter enemies it becomes a sort of turn-based combat..? If it is, really didn't like that one. Just felt wrong. Not the fluid, smooth-flowing combat you'd expect from Star Wars* games, but maybe I've just been tainted by playing others that weren't like that. * Yeah, yeah, someone go ahead and post that gif of the lightsabre battle where they're not actually touching each other and just twirling their sabres.. Go on.. I know it's coming. Edited February 4, 2015 by Garacesh

LosOjos Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Pfft, what a time for my daughter to decide she's having a birthday and make me go out and spend all my money on presents!

ellsandell Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Might just have to buy this... Shame its Jedi Academy rather than outcast, as it was much better.
DMcGuigan Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Already got the lot, really good deal though! Managed to pick up the Steam Star Wars bundle for around £20 last year, every Star Wars game that was on Steam at the time.. turns out there's a lot!
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Might just have to buy this... Shame its Jedi Academy rather than outcast, as it was much better. Really? I much prefer Jedi Academy to Outcast. The level design on outcast was awful!
ellsandell Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Really? I much prefer Jedi Academy to Outcast. The level design on outcast was awful! Yeah, only by a hair. Preferred the singleplayer/ story over academy, particularly the progression into becoming a Jedi.
haldarulon Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 Kicked off on February 3rd, the Star Wars Humble Bundle has generated more than $2,842,052.97 since its launch, with over 247,000 sales.
