TheHawk Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Hi all I'm having an issue with some of our student laptops, it was coming up that the units weren't activated so we sorted that by reactivating them using the "slmgr" commands in command prompt. But since reactivating the units the students are complaining that they cant change they're desktop backgrounds. Ive checked the GPO and nothing has changed since before the reactivation when they were aloud to right click on images and choose "set as background". The option is there for them to do it just doesn't apply. If anyone has any suggestions id appreciate it. thanks Dale
TheHawk Posted January 27, 2015 Author Posted January 27, 2015 You let them change the backgrounds?! Yes the school provide laptops for the students in year 7 & 8 as a reward if they have been looking after there computers and keeping to the rules etc we allow it but any abuse of it and we turn it off again!
3s-gtech Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Would suggest that either activation is still playing up (which will do this, you can use VAMT to check in bulk) or you have a slightly rogue GP stopping the change.
