I'm sorry if I posted on the correct thread, but just want to ask..

 

Does anyone know about any good screen recorder software similar to snagit and either cheap or free? I will really appreciate if someone could help me out here.

I know one such program.

 

I have recorded few videos of myself and now I just play them on skype using fake webcam at my workplace. None of my chat buddy could figure out that its not me but just a video:)

I was asked to buy snagit recently but couldn't find much that it could do which we couldn't achieve with our existing software:

 

Printscreen/alt+printscreen - capture screenshots

MediaPlayerClassic - capture video stills

Powerpoint - crop/resize/annotate images

 

any more requirements?
