Xibo - displaying different information day-to-day

Is there a way to display information on a schedule?

 

For example, lunch menus. We have a 3 week menu plan and it would be great it, between the end of lunch one day and lunch the next, it showed the correct menu. But I don't want to be editing it every day.

Could it link to excel or something to pull the information? But then the presentation of that wouldn't be great I imagine?

I'd probably put together something like this as a webpage. Much easier to get layout as you want, and you can use other logic, be it server side or client side logic, to load your data in depending on dates, days... or whatever you choose. Then I'd set Xibo to simply include that webpage in as a full screen region in a layout.

 

I've used this approach to a few various things before and it seems to work well.
