Where on the server are student photos stored of students??

I think they're in the database now. In Star they used to be in a folder and viewable but not now apparently.

In the database, easy enough to extract though if you know what you are doing...

but don't forget the photographer - some allow their copyright to be waived for use by a third party - others such as H tempest do not.

Tempest supply them on CD too AFAIK.

There is a folder in the sims directory called photo try there we import them from tempest

....or if you import the photos into Novat T-4 (Refresh student photograpshs from SQL) then you should be able to find them in X:\SIMS\SNOVA\PICTURES where X= is whatever your SIMS drive is.

well the photo's are where you put them as to put photos into SIMS you have to attach them from somewhere

There's also a really neat little free util on the Capita forum I think called SIMS photo extractor so you can extract by year group or staff etc.

In SIMS within Reports you can extract and print pictures anyway you want..

What if he no longer has the disks for all 7 chorts in the school? What if the photographer used their serial code instead of SIMS admission numbers?

Not quite. They have be embedded in an RTF or Word document. What if you just want the individual bmp/jpg files themselves.
