PHP and Chrome issue

Hi all,

 

Im currently working on editing something on a php based site. I have a passowrd clear text box which is a mandatory field... however its only mandatory on firefox... ie and chrome its not mandatory.

 

Weird..., youll be wondering why i have a plain text password box ? Its part of our bookin system and need passwords from customer pcs etc. I have a test server if someone could login and have a play ????? Link below:

login with admin and the password is thepassword..., this is only a test system so doesnt need to be secure. If someone could look at the code thatd be great....

OK, I just tested the password box on a new check in, it certainly isn't mandatory in Chrome. What code have you got marking it as mandatory?

I think this is the code that @cpjitservices is referring to.

 

 

The blue text isn't required though so that's probably why it isn't working in Chrome. i.e.

As Arthur says, it shouldn't have ="required" if it's HTML. XHTML on the other hand should.

 

I've just checked w3schools' page which has a 'try it' option - on both IE and Chrome it performs as intended:

Tried removing =required... to no avail.
