Bulk UserCreation Tools by David Wiseman of Wisesoft.co.uk

From the readme:

This application must run with a domain user account that has the appropriate permissions to create user accounts.

The ADsSecurity.dll is required to set permissions on work areas.

If you want to create exchange mailboxes for your user accounts, the spreadsheet must be run on a PC with the exchange management tools installed.

This spreadsheet is designed to work with Active Directory and has been tested with Windows 2003 server.

There should be no problems with 2000 server, but the application is not designed to work with Windows NT.

I apologise for the lack of detailed instructions on how to use this application.

I hope it is intuitive enough for you to figure most of it out. Email me if you have any queries.

The application is provided free of charge and without warranty.

Thanks,

David Wiseman

Hi mark, fantastic piece of software you've written here I have always liked creating user lists in excel and this just makes it so easy to copy and paste them and then go. All done in seconds.

I have one small niggle tho. When I run add users I'm getting little popup boxes saying "Retrys 1" or "Retrys 2" for each user. The script suceeds and everything is correct just wondering if theres someting you might know is wrong with my AD or some advice on adding a slight delay maybe to the script so that it waits a second between user incase its just flooding my server.

Whats wrong with good old addusers using a standard csv file.

The command line, trying to get it to work unsuccessfully a dozen times before giving up. This one was written for non-techie staff to use as well.

@markcuk: why would you want to put it in a logon script?

It's to create new active directory users I believe?

Ben

I think Markcuk wants to add a logon script to the account properties.

Hi David,

I was wondering how to use the Bulk User Creation Tools. Do you have any procedure you can send me. I look forward to test the tools.

Thanks,

Sunshine.
