Davit2005 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 When I started here a few years ago we could only manage GPO's from one DC, we had 5 DC's altogether. I managed to setup a Central Store and this has been populated with adm templates and can be seen from all DC's. Now comes Office 2013 and I went to add the ADMX templates but when going to Add on the server no admx templates show up even though when browsing to the location through windows explorer the admx templates do show up.
sted Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 to add admx templates you physically copy them to c:\windows\policy definitions (and usually some parts to c:\windows\policy\en-us if the files you have to start with a stored that way). They then just show up you dont need to add them to the console 1
Michael Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 I agree with the above - copy the Office 2013 ADMX files and the language folder to the central store and it'll replicate across all DCs. Much easier than importing and everything's then running the same versions. 1
Davit2005 Posted January 8, 2015 Author Posted January 8, 2015 (edited) Followed many guides and I know I added an admx template in the past. I checked the policy and can now see the 2013 templates both on server and local machine but I don't know what happened . Maybe just one of those Microsoft moments or was it me Edited January 8, 2015 by Davit2005
