Right, so which one is better? Blues Brothers or Blues Brothers 2000?

They both have good qualities and so it is a hard choice.

 

Orginal has Jake in it which is a plus and the driving through the shopping centre is a classic scene. Plus has cab calloway in it.

 

But 2000 does have B.B King and the ever so great Blues Traveller. But think classic line up of Jake and Elwood clinches it. Also it was original that really introduced me to my love of blue music.

I have them both on DVD so it's not as if I've not tried to get into them, it just doesn't do it for me.

Blue music ? Is that the dodgey stuff they play in some adult titles?

What you got to remember about Blues Brothers it introduced people to Blues music who may never ad listen to it but hearing it on Sat night live or the films made people go and seek out original artist to those songs.

 

Blues brothers would never work today (hence why 2000 never really made it big) it like punk came along at right time and served a purpose.
