Hey Guys,

These silly people who we're on a Rust server I was playing on have reported me to steam for hacking because they where angry I killed them.

I wasn't hacking nor did I do anything wrong, I was just wondering what will happen to my account now will I get banned, I'm a little worried!?

Thanks :)

They have no control over VAC (assuming it is even in Rust). It's typical posturing by saddos who can't take being killed.

IIRC VAC is automatic.

The only way you'll get banned is if they know the server admin.

Not even that, only Valve control VAC. Local server ban at best in which case you don't want to go back anyway.

VAC3 would only ban you if you had processes hooking into Rust if you had modified files - the most you could get is a ban from that server and that's it.

Most people that say 'reported to valve' are just venting hot air anyhow. VAC bans are automated as @X-13 says. Most that'll happen is they're actually crying to the server admin and s/he bans you without looking into it, in which case s/he's a turd admin and you'd do better off elsewhere anyway :D

Though it's worth mentioning I recently picked up 7 Days to Die on Steam and I'm finding that insanely more enjoyable than Rust. Both other players and the environment provides quite the challenge, unlike Rust where they practically removed all environmental difficulties.
