All those record players... and the black and white tvs (save up to £24.65!) ... and a hostess trolley! :) It takes me back ... I was 12 :D Edited by elsiegee40

It certainly reminds me of how much better off we are now - the car radios are marked up at £30-40 - I was earning under £25 for a 40 hour week in a factory - admittedly poorly paid - but that would mean the radio being around £600-700 nowadays! Sheesh! And what ever happened to freestanding hair driers?

My mum had one of the Ronson Elite hairdryers with the inflating hood; we used to use it to pretend we were Mekons ;)

Also, Hugh Porter selling bikes - he's taught Chris Boardman more than just the art of commentary!

Those were the days, when you could buy an air pistol from Argos:D

Anyone else have one of those Airfix glider kit things, guaranteed to be completely destroyed on first flight

Well spotted! It's a wonder anybody had any eyes left. A bargain at £7.95 for a pistol.

They had some lovely clocks. The Paico "Sunray" hasn't dated at all.
