localzuk Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 They're a 300W TFX form factor supply, so depending on your budget, I'd recommend the Be Quiet TFX Power 2 300W. You can get them cheaper than that though I think. 1

My last place had about 300 stone computers which, some mere weeks out of warranty, starting popping PSUs It's a never ending job chasing the dying PSU. It cost an absolute fortune to replace them, and Stone were singularly unhelpful. 1

I want to try this before having to change a motherboard (Intel DH61WW). Turn the computer on and wait for around 10mins for the computer to start. (Fans spin but no lights)

Is there a power supply which you recommend for these? Same situation here, except ours are 250W. I get them from ATFX Systems Ltd in Rochdale, part number 3658 at £19.25 each. newpersn Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 Sorry to drag these up. I had to replace the psu in a computer last week. Tested in my office before I put it back. Worked fine. Took it back to the classroom and it refused to start. (Power light was on but flicked every 5 secs) Unplugged it from the extension lead and plugged it in to the mains and it powered up. And been fine since....
synaesthesia Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Had pretty much exactly that newpersn in a Stone. The batch of 30 replacements we bought (also from Stone) were Delta branded, the faily ones were FSP.
newpersn Posted January 31, 2015 Author Posted January 31, 2015 Just stange how I replace to psu and still didn't work. Move it off the extension lead and straight in to socket it works fine.
