sonofsanta Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 omg actually looks amazing please don't be poop please don't be poop please don't be poop (Which, oddly enough, is the same thing I was chanting as I watched the Jurassic World trailer. This next year could either be amazing for my inner ten year old, or awful...)
BKGarry Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I can't wait. Lets restart The Terminator Timeline (again)
synaesthesia Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 (edited) How many times can they needlessly reboot films with different actors? Ignoring any of the comic style ones because they're all crap anyway (spiderman, superman etc). Couldn't have hurt to have cast Bale & whatsisface as Reece again though Looks interesting in it's own right so will certainly watch it. Don't mind the "timeline" reset so much, it worked rather well IMO for Star Trek but hope it doesn't become a go-to reboot mechanic for all sci-fi. Back to the Future will be next at this rate. sonofsanta Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 If it means we can pretend T3 and Salvation didn't happen, I'm all for it tbh. I will cry if they dare go near BTTF though.
BKGarry Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Can you really remake BTTF, at best you can go for a Special Edition (George Lucas Style), the time periods would not line up anymore. Especially since we should all have Hover Boards very very soon
featured_spectre Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 that was an alternate 2015 that they went too...where religion didn't hold the world back and the WTC wasn't destroyed [/end conspiracy theory]
CHR1S Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 We really must be running out of ideas for films now, or there are some really lazy writers/directors. I dont think I have seen a single remake that surpasses the original and call it what you will, reboot/reset/remake the comment still stands. So am I right in thinking this is all the terminators in one go, 1,2 and 3/4 (I didn't see the female terminator in the clip). - - - Updated - - - If it means we can pretend T3 and Salvation didn't happen, I'm all for it tbh. ICTDirect_Dave Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Back to the Future will be next at this rate. Ssshhh!!! They might be reading this, lets not give them any ideas! 1
sonofsanta Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 I quite liked T3.... My problem with T3 was that it completely changed the philosophy from "there is no fate but what we make for ourselves" to "oh well, no way of stopping it, it had to happen cos it was fate!" It was an alright action movie, but it wasn't up to the level of T1 & T2. John Connor was a big wimp in it as well.
synaesthesia Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 MARTY! It's about your future! You've got to come back with me! Why? Do I become an a**hole or something? NO MARTY! THEY'VE CURED PARKINSONS IN 2025! 2

Poetic licence (or the film equivalent) Lets be honest, they could just do 2 hours of Arney shooting things interlinked with comments made in a dodgy Austrian accent and we would all watch it happily. Hang on.... thats every film he's ever made.....
sparkeh Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 Hi, could someone help me find my because I just totally LOST IT! Looks amazing and I actually had a little shiver when the guy took his hood down and it was Arnie!
synaesthesia Posted December 5, 2014 Posted December 5, 2014 A lot of boxes ticked for Expendables then!
sparkeh Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Arnold [older] fights Arnold [younger & CGI] Awesome!
6Foot2 Posted March 13, 2016 Posted March 13, 2016 MPC's work included recreating a ‘young Arnold’ T-800 digital character, Endoskeletons, an explosive battle at LAX, various CG set extensions and FX work.
