Hi

I'm having a problem with some of my network users,

they all have redirected profiles "My Documents, Desktop"

the problem I'm having is, when a student goes to log on to a computer

they are presented with an error saying that the location is unavailable

now if they go on to another computer and login its loads up fine.

if another student logs in on that computer that didn't load up ok it works ok for them!!!

I'm really at my tether here as I'm not sure how this can be happening,

i am very sure they have the right permissions as their profile works ok on other PC's

i have looked through the event view log and seen 2 errors

i have attached both screen shots of the problem with this

i hope some one can help / or has anyone else had this problem as well.

Clients: Windows 7 Professional x64

Server / Domain: Windows server 2008 R2

***SOLVED***

ive found the cause! done a lot of digging around on the internet just now and found it was the offline files database. i have to clear it

i did everything it told me here

Windows 7: How to initialize/reset Offline Files database? | Networknet.nl

and solved the problem, totally explains why one users profile wasnt working on one computer but was on another. i hope this helps other people in the same boat as i was, as it was frustrating.

@Ergo_Computing_IS_S - that didnt work for me, but thanks for the advice

thanks to all who have replied
