ITV2 are staring Scorpion soon. It's not "good", but it is fun if you can avoid nitpicking/pointing out glaring technical inaccuracies.

I don't generally like stuff where the protagonists are members/leaders of criminal gangs; they just don't appeal to me. This includes The Godfather and The Sopranos, which most would see as blasphemy.

Lots of Peaky sounds good, I just dont like the time setting really, I have the same problem with Boardwalk Empire, I know its good but it doesnt appeal.

 

I am up today with both shows and I would score them basically the same, good light brain candy.

Longmire can ony be described as brill. Scorpion, is carp. Take the first ep; since when do aeroplanes have 30m cat 5 cables, that you can dangle out the bottom and connect to a laptop?

A bit more likely than that cable being capable of staying attached to the laptop and dragging the person holding it up out of a car! Or a datacentre storing a customer's data on one particular (handily labelled for confirmation) disk. I guess I'm just capable of ignoring such stuff when the whole show is patently not realistic.

Ah yes, the one copy of the software, stored on a disk that was going to be overwritten in a couple of hours. Great date centre that doesn't do incremental/differential or generational backups. I'd like to own his laptop, which seems to be able to connect to every computer. Last night it was able to connect wirelessly to a 30 year old main frame.

Bad news for "Constantine". The show will not be getting it's "back 9" so only 13 episodes will be made rather than the US network "full season" of 22. They've not officially cancelled the show, and are saying that if ratings improve for the last few eps they may consider renewal. (Or could be hoping this will fob off the inevitable "Save our show!" fan campaign),
