suesmate Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 when I try to boot up my PC it is comming up with the dreaded blue screen and will not start. this is the first couple of lines of the error message can any one help me with any ideas please C0000218 {registry file faliure} The registry cannot find the hive {file}: SystemRoot\System32\Config\Security - its log or alternate. is corrupt absent or not writeable begining dump of physical memory

apeo Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Diverging abit but how many ppl actually tried the 'Last known good config' and it worked. I think I've only had 1 occation where it worked.
