grahamd22 Posted November 19, 2014 Posted November 19, 2014 Looking promising ... Masrani Jurassic World
Abaddon Posted November 20, 2014 Posted November 20, 2014 Sadly, this is the best thing I've heard since the start of the summer term.
rickjames Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 OH GOD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7bk9glvzXA
synaesthesia Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Looks awful. I know it's fiction, but willing suspension of belief falls over when you think just how utterly stupid this premise is. It's not much different from Thomas the Tank Engine and Fireman Sam. (For the non-parents out there, that's having main characters who are utterly, utterly stupid and never, ever learn from mistakes just to drag the plot out. Pontypandy would be far safer if someone exiled Norman Price, and Sodor would function far better if someone sent Thomas to the scrap heap, the malevolent, ignorant little git!) Americans have a tough time shaking off the stupid image as it is. They don't need films like this re-enforcing that image time after time. (I feel allowed to make such a comment, being half American)
mac_shinobi Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Hope he does a dance off with a T Rex lol. Someone already said this on Facebook but it made me laugh so thought I would post it Looking forward to this movie though
sonofsanta Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 (For the non-parents out there, that's having main characters who are utterly, utterly stupid and never, ever learn from mistakes just to drag the plot out. Pontypandy would be far safer if someone exiled Norman Price... I have a theory on Fireman Sam: the whole place is an open air mental asylum. Everyone there suffers serious delusions and the only way to treat them is to allow them to play out their fantasies. Mike comes from a broken home, and so he wants to be a repairman and fix everything for everyone, despite being rubbish and the world's worst handyman. Elvis was born to a single mother with a rock 'n' roll obssession, and so fixated on Elvis as a father figure; his continuing need for a father figure is evident in his hero worship of Sam. And Sam, clearly, is a broken man; perhaps he saw service in Afghanistan, and failed to save a comrade, or perhaps he has been a fireman all along but failed to save a child and cannot live with the guilt; either way, he has a serious hero complex, and a deep-seated need to save the day and hear the adulation of all around him. In this context, Norman Price is just a boy with severe behavioural issues. Basically, Fireman Sam is Shutter Island for kids. Alternative theory: the only other ginger in the village other than Norman is... Sam. The only reason anyone suffers Norman Price's continued presence is because he's Sam's illegitimate child. Anyway, Jurassic World. I really really really want it to be good, but "genetically modified hybrids!" sounds pretty stupid Giant water dinosaur is cool though! 2
Arreks Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Am I the only one who thinks "meh, alright"? Looks like a bad reboot of a popular franchise like the more recent terrible Spiderman movies. If it ain't broke don't fix it Hollywood.
Arreks Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 is it a reboot, or a continuation? it's a continuation, the difference being that the originals had real science in them from a paleontological point of view whereas this movie is just making it all up as they go along so there's "more action and cool looking stuff and and hybrid dinosaurs woooo see this movie"
Greenbeast Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Ok cool. Yeah i'm not overly keen on the GM hybrid idea
LiamH Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 Ugh domesticated raptors. Only positive is that it appears they didn't make a dinosaur / cat hybrid, that would be a bad idea.

pooley Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 I love the Jurassic park franchise. Looking forward to this one. 1
6Foot2 Posted June 24, 2015 Posted June 24, 2015 Chris Pratt: Dinosaur whisperer: The Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History recently posted this: Link:
Greenbeast Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 Saw this at the weekend. I think it does it justice, a good sequel to JP1
Arthur Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I thought this might happen. Universal Studios has officially announced a sequel to Jurassic World (as if there was ever any doubt). Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will both return to star, and Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow will co-write the sequel's script with Derek Connolly. Jurassic World just climbed to number three on the list of top grossing movies of all time ($1.52B), beating out The Avengers. Pratt seems to be on a box office hot streak, with Jurassic World following the huge success of Guardians of the Galaxy. Jurassic World 2 will open in cinemas 22 June 2018. (Source)
