We moved from Exchange 2007 to Office 365 everything has gone really well and all my users are happily using 365, or so I thought. As student came to us with a problem she was having the "something has gone wrong" message. When I looked into it somehow she had been missed in the migration.

So how do I migrate her I have searched but everything I find points back to the original staged migration method.

I had this before and Office 365 thought there was an on-premise mailbox when their wasn't.

All I could do was to delete user on local domain, force sync so Office 365 user is deleted. Create new user with same details as before and resync.

Basically creates a new SID so Office 365 sees it as a new user even though it's called the same.

I found today that the ADFS server wasn't syncing so I have uninstalled the DirSync tool and installed the newer version and started the sync just before I left tonight so I am hoping that was the issue will be fine on Monday.
