localzuk Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 Hi everyone, I've just been told to spend a load of money, so am looking at sorting out a more professional digital signage solution in the school. The product in particular I'm looking at is the NetTopBox by OneLan. Does anyone in Somerset, Devon, Dorset etc... use it and would they mind us coming and having a nose at it in use? Or if anyone else uses something similar (has to be easy to use, as the reception staff are going to use it), would they mind us having a look? Cheers Tony
Ric_ Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 @localzuk: I'm nowhere near you but I use the Navaho MediaCat system (see http://navaho.tv ). My data cable guy is a reseller of the OneLan stuff but is considering moving to the Navaho gear since seeing mine... simply for ease of use.
Edu-IT Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 We've got a NetTopBox. It looks to have quite a lot of features although I've not explored the system in detail yet. Unfortunately we're not local to you.
edie209 Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 A friend of mine runs this in a school in Plymouth we were so impressed we are going to be installing it in the next couple of weeks. But I'm sure he would be only too happy to show you. If your interested I will contact him on monday.
localzuk Posted November 23, 2007 Author Posted November 23, 2007 bigroger and edie209 - yes please. They are both (in my mind) close by... We are in the middle of nowhere, so travelling is normal to me.
strawberry Posted November 23, 2007 Posted November 23, 2007 try this mob:http://www.tripleplay-services.com/ I found that ntbs were really restrictive in what they can do and this mob offer an alternative package.
