I hope my computer can play it okay considering it's a month old :( Also when I pre-ordered it off uplay, it said release date was 13th, I preloaded it and said release date was 13th. It's just been a shambles with the release. I get most new games have glitches when they are first released because they can easily be patched but this takes it to a whole new level.

 

I miss the old games where they were released as a full game, and the developers actually spent time and effort making sure it worked 100%.

The main bit I didnt like about FC3 was the party dudebro's at the start, I didn't want to rescue them. Having Uplay nagging me about signing in didnt help either. Hopefully FC4 is more than FC3 with elephants.

 

Really? The intro to FC3 is, IMO, one of the best game intro sequences ever. I wanted to save them because they all seemed like a close-knit group of great friends! To each their own.

Ouch. I *just* scrape in with the CPU (I've got a i5-2550k), and RAM (only running 8GB RAM). But my graphics card is totally out.

Just realised, realistically, a graphics card suitable for the job would cost me almost as much as a console. :/

 

I know PC's can give better visuals and all that. But it's one of the reasons I don't game on PC anymore. I know all the games that come out between now and PS5/XBoxWhatEverNumberMSUsesNext comes out are going to play. Probably not fine, but they will play.

Possibly. I want to see how it runs offline first.

 

Apparently a uplay connection destroys the FPS.

What needing a gfx card/cpu/ram upgrade to meet minimum specs? That's big news if true.

 

I'm aware of the typical Ubisoft - nobody bothered to check if the artist add finished drawing the face before release, and Uplay is the spawn of the devil - problems that effect all platforms ;)

PS4 [the version I heard it about] has the exact same save deleting problem, FPS issues and graphical bugs... So basically, yes. The console version needs a GPU/CPU/RAM upgrade.

 

The hardware is fixed. HOW THE HELL DID IT GET PAST QA IF IT CAN'T RUN STABLE AT 30FPS!

The games just a complete mess, as it stands. I doubt I'll get round to playing it for a couple of years yet. I'm playing through the backlist from hell at the moment. Hopefully they'd have patched a couple of the bugs by then... (The current state of AC:Revelations doesn't feel me with much hope. Ubisoft!)

I have no idea what that smoke is supposed to be... Never saw it before, haven't seen it since.

I did. Nothing happened.

 

I also shot it, jumped into it, fired cannons at it...

 

 

I've also had a online event convoy on my map for a month... There's nothing there and they're only supposed to last a few hours.

They just need to fix the bugs and terrible engine. If you dont allow the game to boot with network card in you get no framerate drops. It's uplay/network related on PS4.

 

Apart from the engine, the engine is still bad no matter what.
