bodminman Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Hi there, our school wants to review whether the current MIS still fits the schools needs and whether or not they need to start looking at alternatives. We currently use WCBS for both the MIS and finance bit. So before I get asked to contact some vendors, can you please let me know what MIS you use, whether or not you would recommend it and if so/not, why. Many thanks
E_G_R2 Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 Hi, we use a plethora of MIS software SIMS for the main pupil data, Time Tabler for the time table (because its more flexible than SIMS), AIM High for reports and School Comms for communiucating with parents. For finance we still use WCBS but I don't know if that is because the Bursar fears change. Personaly I'd like to try and use SIMS for most of it but somehow feel that would be a loosing battle. 1
win Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 isams is popular with independent schools. I haven't used it so i can't personally recommend it right now, but i hear good things about it. 1
GREED Posted November 13, 2014 Posted November 13, 2014 For the independent market you should probably investigate iSAMS, SIMS, WCBS (clearly you know them already), Double First Engage, Furlong SchoolBase. These are ones whole openly declare their intentions in this sector. 1
