TTS Easi-View Visualiser Focusing Issue

Hi All,

 

I have issues with these TTS Easi-View visualizers with focusing. They are intermittent, on some laptops you can focus and others you cannot and the picture is very blurry. I have checked the user manual and that says to get best quality you should disable your on-board camera. I have done that and it is still the same. The visualizers are out of warranty.

 

Any advise or help would be welcome.

We have loads of those visualisers in school and they all experience problems at one point or another. I've had focus issues but never been able to pin down a solution. Sometimes after a rest, they resolve themselves. You can try pointing the visualiser at a wall over a metre away and focussing on that, then moving back to close up and re-focussing. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't.

There's mention somewhere (maybe on Edugeek but I couldn't find it with a quick search) of artificial light affecting these (and other) visualisers. If possible, can you try it with the lights off and the built in lights on?
