Hi,

We have a problem with our GPO in which some staff can't download files.. Weird thing is- I looked everywhere for all settings that might disable downloads- they're all not configured (will allow downloads). The weird thing is that it affects only some staff, out of 60 maybe about 3-4.. What could the problem be? Sorry for being vauge, I can answer questions.

Thanks

Is this on Internet explorer?

It could be under user configuration, preferences, control panel settings, Internet settings

If you have the Internet settings in their it then will be under security and custom level it comes under file download.

Maybe set one up as a test. Has your computers downloaded IE11? I think by default it sets the security levels to high. Or check computer settings in case it is done by that instead of user?

I have found the problem- I made a setting for IE8 at some point and then after finding out that it isnt working, I deleted it. The IE8 browsers got the setting but sort of stuck with it- after updating to IE9, 10 or 11 the problem stopped. Thank god and you guys :)

Glad you sorted it. You can make them work by editing the Internet settings.xml file in sysvol policies folder and then change the version number to say 99 so it will cover you from version 9 to 99
