I understand this isn't entirely relating to ICT but, im just about to purchase the Numark Mixtrack pro 2 and wanted to know if anyone has ever used these and also what is a good DJ software to use to mix music!???

Also would anyone know of any good PC speakers to buy preferably about £40-50 to spend?

Mixxx is open source and can be scripted to take almost any controller (I recently had some success using a DJ Hero controller for Xbox connected to the PC :))

Mixxx - Free MP3 DJ Mixing Software

As for good speakers - £50 isn't a lot of money for speakers, if you're serious about mixing new music you'll want some monitors ideally. If it's just for a bit of fun though or just to keep you going, I've always found Logitech speakers to be very good VFM, something like this should give you good quality sound for the money: Logitech Z323 Speaker System: Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories

Traktor is awesome but not the cheapest. It is a bit of a cheat regarding the mixing side of things, but it means you are free to add to it and so create a hell of a lot more while mixing. You will be truly amazed though.

Hope it helps.
