Experience working with Capita as a Technical Partner

Hi All,

 

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience working with Capita as a technical partner? We are looking at developing some of our internal systems to write information back to the SIMS database, in particular the Behaviour Management section. The school is looking to become a technical partner as we support a number of other schools within our school partnership trust.

From the point of view of dealing with them, they are really good. From the point of developing something, I would love to see your business proposal.

We have been a SIMS technical partner for many years. We have found the partner team good to work with.

 

I would talk to the partner team about what you want to do first, they have a great knowledge of other partner products and there may be something out there that does what you need - which will save you a lot of effort and maintenance risk.

 

Efficiently integrating with SIMS is not trvial - but if you are sticking to doing what others have done before (e.g. writing back Behaviour) then the worst of the rough edges will have been removed and the partner team will be well positioned to help you.
