I have a deleted account and I need to recreate it allowing them to still access their original user folder on their computer. Can this be done?

Would the computer still have the users' cached profile? Have you tried pulling its network cable and letting the user try to logon?

I'm assuming this is an AD account? If so you can retrieve it from the AD recycle bin: Active Directory Recycle Bin in Windows Server 2008 R2 Step-by-Step Guide [R2]

If you haven't enabled the recycle bin then ADRestore is your best friend: AdRestore

Since the SID will be the same, it should still be able to access their normal user folder.

A simple thank you doesn't cut it. For anyone else seeing this in the future, use ADRestore and follow this page. " adrestore -r " save me hours and hours of time.

((the real issue was for an entire OU of users, not just one.))

Thanks again Jamesb!
