NEC NP600G with a horizontal and vertical banding.

We have an NEC NP600G projector (discontinued now as it's about 5-6 years old) in our main hall which does all of our displaying for assemblies and the like.

 

The other day, we had the message to clean the filter which we did as suggested in the manual and numerous youtube videos (not the one that says you need to wet the sponge filter).

 

After removing the filters (2 little click out cartridges), cleaning them and then putting them back, we have this as our screen which we are unable to figure out why.

 

 

Wondered if anyone had come across an answer as there is nothing on tinterweb with an answer (that is jumping out at me)?
