Roopert Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Having recently upgraded media player on some XP machines on our server 2003 network. I have come up with an issue where video files saved on to the schools intranet site need the login for the intranet input again to actually view the video file in windows media player 11, even when you are currently still logged into the intranet site. I have tried some security settings but i assume it is something within media player itself, does anyone have any ideas on this?
Geoff Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Media player doesn't seem to use IE's login credentials anymore leading to this. I gave up and deployed firefox.
Roopert Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 Thanks for that , i would love to install firefox, but i am only a little spod in the big scheme of things haha. Managed to put it on a few computers crashing IE but corporate policy wont let me site wise - doh! Also working hard getting people to cross over to open office - break out of the corporate stranglehold yay!
