Chrisbf1 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I want to put interactive boards into our school. They currently do not have smartboards. So new install scenario. I am looking at the Smart ones and also CTOUCH. Anyone got any experience. I have heard the Clevertouch and Genee stuff is to be avoided any comments experiences would be appreciated
localzuk Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Nothing wrong with Clevertouch. We've been running 4 of their 60" LCD touchscreens for 3 years and they've been flawless. One thing to think about is software - are you looking for any specific interactive software? Like SMART Notebook or the like?
Joanne Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I've just got a clevertouch in and it's great. Lovely to touch! Mainly went for them because of the software that comes with it, Lynx and Wordwall. I'm at a primary though, so it's very appropriate. Not so much for a high school.
Arreks Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 We use Clevertouch (~10 of them) and the hardware itself is amazing! most of the teachers here still prefer ActivStudio software than the Lynx/Wordwall though and that's after multiple training sessions on the new software.. ActivStudio works fine on the screens though so it's not a big deal. 1
Clevertouch_Rob Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Many of the large brands Inc Clevertouch will do a demo for you. It's best to not go on hearsay and try out a few for yourself and see what screen and software works best for your needs.
