LOL that ebay post is funny... that guy needs to hope he don't get raided in the next 24 hours... the cost is going up consistently as well, not sure if i'd pay £155 for a pair of blank discs even if it was a joke!!!

@ Mattx - You know we're onto Heroes S02E09 now! I watched the first series in a weekend and the first five episodes I a couple of evenings a few weeks ago.

I am aware of the new series, which has now been hit by the writers strike in the USA. Plus Tim Kring has promised to start making the second season a bit better as it's loosing quite a few followers.

I am one of those people who wait for the entire season to air / finish, then watch the lot within a few days....

Sad - thats me.

I wonder how long this will stay up ?

I love the Q&A section (copied here just in case ebay remove it):

Q: Would you consider part exchange for these discs? I'm afraid I can't offer much in the way of cash as my future employment status looks a bit grim at present, but my boss Gordy can offer you a peerage or even free school dinners for life. Thanks NOTE TO SECRETARY: PLEASE ENSURE MY REAL NAME DOES NOT APPEAR ON THIS EMAIL WHEN SENDING, THANKS. ALISTAIR

A: As everyone's employment prospects are as dismal as yours, you argument carries little weight. However, the peerage is tempting. Please feel free to phone me to discuss this.

Have to laugh at those who are arguing over the number of rows Excel can handle and if the database is compressed !!!

Plus your bid get a mention Tech_Guy. Your famous now too - you like me have got a mention on The Register. Mine resulted in quite a few E-mails from Lawyers saying they would happily represent me when I said those things about Sophos......

Am I bovvered? Last year, someone at County Hall had their laptop stolen containing all of our payroll details, so mine are public domain already. I heard today, that something similar happened to one of the big Buiding Sicieties and they were fined the best part of a million quid!

let be glad bill gates hasnt put a bid in for it that all he needs more power behind him that what he already has

I'd bet that part of the problem is mass adoption of Gate's systems caused this - allowing untrained low level techies to be able to download the enitre database.

Do you really think this could have happened in the old mainframe days?

Some people can never learn that above all else secuirty has to be the top issue no matter where you work at even if it is a major company or your typical dell boy and this proves it now lots of people are going to suffer because of this "accident" aka lack of secuirty.
