GREED Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 (edited) Right then chaps, are we all up for doing Movember again this year as an Edugeek group? I seem to remember there were 5 of us last year raising a tidy sum, it would be great if we could get more in the group this year! Thoughts? Update: Team Page available here: http://moteam.co/edugeek-2014 Edited October 14, 2014 by GREED
Mcshammer_dj Posted October 14, 2014 Posted October 14, 2014 I ussually do this as a family but my brothers are busy this year so I will happily sign up for an edugeeks movember group.
GREED Posted October 16, 2014 Author Posted October 16, 2014 I see, looks like i'll be by myself this year!
hardtailstar Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I see, looks like i'll be by myself this year! I'd do it but I cant grow a stache
Gatt Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 Joined - first time doing it And be warned - I don't always follow the rules well
GREED Posted October 20, 2014 Author Posted October 20, 2014 It seems so, rather disappointed to be honest!
synaesthesia Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I would, but I actually kept mine from last year because everyone said I looked far better with facial hair. Maybe should just shave the beard and keep the tache!
GREED Posted October 20, 2014 Author Posted October 20, 2014 Or, shave it and grow it again for Movember?
Mcshammer_dj Posted October 21, 2014 Posted October 21, 2014 I will be very disappointed if we dont have more entries and raise a sizable amount. Guys don't worry if you feel that growing a tash is beyond you as this is not so much a fashion statement as a statement of support for all people affected by Cancer, by Mental Health issues and general Health issues. I myself have suffered loss and worry over the years with Family and friends always knowing that selfless donations and support from groups like this will make a difference. I will grow a tash and suffer the itching, the ridicule, the looks and the ultimate irritation of the missus who hate Facial hair. I will change the styles as the month goes on and even offer to allow the good people of edugeek to select a style for the last day (and anything goes).
Mcshammer_dj Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 and now we are up to 4 members. Given the size of edugeeks I am quite suprised that we don't have at least enough for a football team. In fact we couldn't even form a 5 a side team yet. Come on Geekers this is a great chance to help a very noble cause.
Tesla Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 My moustache attempts only succeed in making me look like someone who should never be let near a school...
Tesla Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I'd happily partake in my own version, Novembeard.
Garacesh Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I will grow a tash and suffer the itching, the ridicule, the looks and the ultimate irritation of the missus who hate Facial hair. I will change the styles as the month goes on and even offer to allow the good people of edugeek to select a style for the last day (and anything goes). Handlebar moustache. Always the evil madman/Poirot handlebar moustache. I'd happily partake in my own version, Novembeard. Isn't that Februhairy? Movember is all about the stasche! I'm with @Tesla, my moustaches make me look like someone who should never interact with children. Or the elderly. Or anybody in general. I'll gladly chip some funds in, though
GREED Posted October 24, 2014 Author Posted October 24, 2014 Whilst I respect opinions and feelings on growing one, the point really is if you don't normally have one you will look out of place to raise awareness. I look awful!! lol However, donations are very much appreciated so thank you!
LoyalHeretic Posted October 24, 2014 Posted October 24, 2014 I'm in. I don't think I do anything near enough for charity, and to be fair, it'll probably mean that I shave more often! I've always wanted to look more like Lemmy, too...
GREED Posted October 31, 2014 Author Posted October 31, 2014 Are we all ready to have a really close shave at 11.59pm tonight lads?
