Exchange 2007 Upgrade Question\Issue

Hi Guys,

 

Quick question, I'm preparing to upgrade from Exchange 2003 to 2007 and have come across an issue reported by the Best Proactive Analyser tool.

 

The tool reports findings of active directory connectors on both domain controllers which must be decommissioned before exchange 2007 can be installed. After reviewing the following article from our friends at MS (One or more Active Directory Connector servers were found) the recommended action is to "Remove All ADC Service Components" which I'm reluctant to do considering that the connectors are on domain controllers.

 

Has anyone been here before?

can see there are no replies to this and it was a while back but thought I would comment on it..

 

 

I've upgraded from 2003 - 2007/2010 before but never had this problem. However I'm presuming it's because your environment is from 5.5 and has been upgraded from 2000 to 2003 at one point. The ADC would have been required from a co-existance standpoint from what I take from it and found these links to be useful...

I personally can't see a reason for not uninstalling it if you are running currently on solely a 2003 environment. I would make sure that all 5.5 references are no longer.
